Content creation for the Schloss Dyck exhibition
The Schloss Dyck Foundation in Jüchen expanded its permanent exhibition “Landscape.” In addition to the redesign of the “The Palace Park under Prince Joseph” exhibition room, further parts of the 1,100 sqm exhibition on the history of Dyck Park were to be thematized. The aim was a sensitively implemented addition that does not copy the existing design, but continues it independently. R211 developed effective, technically simple to implement presentations, sensorially tailored to each theme, well-dosed and tangible with all senses. Historical map material was to be presented in an exciting and striking manner.
Storytelling & content related to history
With newly designed exhibits, the connection to the Dyck Park and Prince Joseph zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck was elaborated. The new installation on the upper floor shows a large-format historical map as the main motif: the entire room was wallpapered with it. Flap exhibits provide insight into the work of the Prince, his plant collection and the planning development of the park to this day.

Content was also deepened in the “Hortus Dyckensis” room and in the “Landscape Garden as a Stage”. Visitors experience spatial depth, discover exhibits playfully and gain new perspectives on the park’s history. Each station was designed to be informative, easy to understand and haptically tangible. The implementation was sensitive in order to complement the existing exhibition without changing its character.

The new elements integrate seamlessly into the exhibition and increase interaction. Visitors can find the right perspective on the 3-D view of the castle or open doors to discover changes in the park. The concept invites you to become active as a landscape expert yourself and is very popular.
